Pharmacology Update for Health Care Professionals
If you administer medications this Pharmacology Update is the prescription you've been waiting for! This one day session focuses on drug therapy and patient education in order to improve drug safety. Drugs are presented by class and interactive questions are provided to help reinforce teachings and maximize your ability to prevent complications.
Target Audience: RN's, LPN's, Graduate Nurses, Nursing Students
Goal: To improve the learner's level of knowledge in administering medications safely and enhance the learners ability to educate patients about medication safety
Following this educational activity the learner will be able to describe drug therapy principles, list the main indication for commonly prescribed drugs, discuss common s/sx of untoward effects, explain potential drug interactions, describe factors that promote drug safety, discuss patient teachings that help reduce drug complication, describe nursing actions in response to drug toxicity
